Contest Rules
Eligibility
-
Student Radiologic Technologist : Any student
radiologic technologist who is a member in good standing of
the KSRT is elegible to compete. A copy of the KSRT membership card must accompany the application form.
Competitions

Essay Competition
-
65% of the score will be based on originality, educational/technical
value, & scholarships. 35% of the score will be based on organization of material
and mechanics. A first, second, and third place will receive a monetary award and certificate. All winners will be published in the Rotating Anode.
A completed application, copy of the KSRT membership card & 4 manuscripts stapled in the top left corner MUST be postmarked by January 29, 2010.
Student Ray Bowl Competition

Open to students who are enrolled in a Kansas Radiography Program. Participants must be a student member in good standing of the KSRT. Round one will include a written multiple choice test of 50 questions. Round two will include a 25 question simultaneous competition between all teams
Awards:

First, second, & third place teams will receive a monetary award and certificate. A monetary award and certificate will be presented to the highest scorer on
the written exam. Awards will be presented at the Presidential Reception during the annual meeting.
Students are encouraged to submit an application by March 1 , 2010 with a copy of the KSRT membership card. Students will be allowed to register for the competition at the annual conference. These students must be registered with the Professional Development Chair at the registration table no later than 8:20 a.m. the day of the competition. Late applicants MUST present the KSRT membership card or a copy of it.
Scientific Exhibit
Judged on professional and educational value, originality of subject, and technical quality. Subject matter will be chosen by the displayer. Individuals may only submit one exhibit at the annual conference.
First, second, & third place will receive a monetary award and certificate.
A completed application, copy of the KSRT membership card and a brief description of the scientific exhibit MUST be postmarked by March 1 , 2010.
Radiograph competition
First, second and third place in each category will receive a monetary award and certificate. A completed application, copy of the KSRT membership card & films MUST be postmarked by March 1 , 2010.
